ACL Round Louvres

The combination of round reflector and louvre technology is the striking feature of the ACL round louvres described in detail in the following chapter. All models consist of the actual louvre and a top part which is designed for holding compact fluorescent lamps of different types and wattages.

The classic round louvre is the ACL Turbo Louvre. What is typical for this louvre is the open, parabolic inner cone which is connected with the outer cone via the blades that are also parabolic. The customer can choose between several designs that differ in the number and the height of the blades used. A speciality of ACL-Lichttechnik GmbH is the supply of this louvre as a VDT capable version meeting the strict requirements of the European standard DIN EN 12464-1 as well as CIBSE LG3:2001 on the one hand and on the other hand the type with inclined blades with the inner cone protruding from the outer cone.

In contrast to that, two crossed parabolic blades in a cone define the ACL Cross Louvre product line. It is available in two different heights. The flat type with a total height of less than 100 mm is especially suitable for applications with low ceiling depths.

The parabolic open inner cone typical of the ACL Turbo Louvre is replaced by a closed centre piece in case of the models of the ACL Ring Louvre and ACL Segment Louvre lines. As in the case of the models of the Turbo Louvre series the parabolic blades are fixed between the centre piece and outer cone. In contrast to the ACL Segment Louvre which is available with four or six blades, the ACL Ring Louvre is fitted with an additional glare reduction ring. A highlight are the two Ring Louvres for T5 circular lamps which allow both the use of two circular lamps with the same size lying upon another and two concentrically placed T5 circular lamps with different sizes.

Most ACL round louvres meet the strict photometric requirements of the European stan-
dard DIN EN 12464-1 as well as CIBSE LG3:2001.
