2D Laser cutting

Laser cutting with speed, highest precision and quality.

For cutting complex two-dimensional profiles ACL-Lichttechnik GmbH takes advantage of state-of-the-art laser technology. In contrast to punching or nibbling almost any profile can be cut without using tools. The cutting is effected by a very small die clearance, high cutting speed and low heat-affected laser part distortion.

ACL-Lichttechnik GmbH lasers sheets of aluminium, steel or stainless steel up to the dimensions of 2,500 x 1,250mm and thicknesses of up to 3mm.

ACL has special know-how in the field of laser cutting of reflectivity-enhanced, strip-anodised aluminium qualities (like all Miro® and Miro Silver® qualities of Alanod) with thicknesses from 0.3 to 1.0mm. All imaginable shapes can be precisely lasered with a cutting accuracy of 0.001mm. The cut-edges are burr-free, the highly reflective surface is lasered scratch and defect-free. Smallest cuts of not less than 0,2mm (determined by the width of the laser beam itself) can be processed allowing for very filligree contours.

The subsequent bending, canting and rolling of the lasered parts is processed with special manufacturing means avoiding scratches and defects on the highly reflective surface. ACL knows very well how to handle these parts securely within their different production lines until they reach the final production step: the assembly. The assembly is done by skilled workers especially trained for this kind of work. In case of small or medium-sized batch sizes laser-cutting is the fastest and more cost-efficient alternative in comparison to tool-based punching.
